  When does the CompTIA Security+ 601 expire?

  CompTIA’s exams, and specifically the Security+, retire about 3 years after their launch. Because the 601 was launched on November 12th, 2020, that means we can expect it to be retired around November 2023.

  If you pass the 601, then your certification is valid for 3 years from the date you passed, at which point it then expires. There are a few ways to renew without having to take another exam, though, which are listed here.
